MEET THE ENSEMBLE
Elaina Alspach is a dance artist; performer, choreographer, and teacher, based in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Texas Woman’s University, with a BA in Dance Studies and a minor in Business Entrepreneurship in May 2020. It was there that she studied dance performance, choreography, and developed a love for teaching. Elaina has now been a local dance teacher at multiple competitive studios for over 4 years. She finds great pride in educating her students on the art of dance.
Elaina is also a performing company member and social media manager for the Danielle Georgiou Dance Group (DGDG) in Dallas, Texas. With this group, she has participated in and documented multiple performances centered on contemporary dance and physical theatre in surrounding Texas cities such as Dallas, Fort-Worth, Waco, and Houston.
In addition, Elaina has been a proud collaborating artist of Very Good Dance Theatre since the start of the collective in 2018. She always looks forward to collaborating with VGDT because of the communicative, transparent, and authentic atmosphere each show brings. She enjoys bringing her interests of story telling and ideas of mainstream media into VGDT's mission of exploring what dance and theatre both are. Elaina can be seen in the past works: Elephant Antonyms (2018) and Plant Mom (2020); both premiered at Dallas' Festival of Independent Theatres, or FIT.
